In the beginning

We met as a large company of believers, young people from different cities, different lives, drawn together for reasons that have nothing to do with chance. We carried different work, but the same restless hunger for the Lord, and the same conviction that faith is not something to keep hidden.
We found each other in monasteries, in liturgies, in late-night conversations. We learned from the fathers, not in words but in silences, in the way they bowed before bread, in the way they treated strangers like family.
When we returned to the noise of our cities, we needed a way to remember. Something we wore, something the world could see, like a confession between us.
That was the first piece. We made it for ourselves. Then we made more, for the brothers and sisters who saw them and asked. Then for everyone who recognises the cross.
Under The Cross began as a confession of faith.
